The position:

As International Network Planning Manager you will be responsible for coordinating route planning analyses across long-term, medium-term, and short-term horizons, as well as oversee the development of itineraries (including flight schedules, operational days, and aircraft assignments). Ensure alignment with operational requirements such as maintenance, slots, airport restrictions, and crew availability to achieve the company’s objectives in growth, profitability, and market share.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 5 years of experience in similar roles, such as Itinerary Planning, Operations Control Center, Revenue Management, or Commercial Strategy.
  • Proven expertise in route planning, flight scheduling, and operational coordination
  • Strong understanding of operational requirements, including maintenance, slots, airport restrictions, and crew availability
  • Exceptional ability to simplify and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including senior executives
  • Demonstrated capacity to influence and sell ideas effectively at the director level
  • Advanced English proficiency, capable of conducting business conversations
  • Availability to work 100% on site, based in Mexico City, Santa fe

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Route Planning Team in close coordination with scheduling: Coordinate and oversee a team responsible for designing and optimizing the airline's route and schedule portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational objectives.
  • Evaluate Itinerary Opportunities: Analyze and make decisions on additional frequencies, potential cancellations, and adjustments to optimize operations and maximize revenue.
  • Strategic Optimization: Ensure itineraries meet key operational requirements, such as maintenance, slot availability, airport restrictions, and crew assignments, leveraging technology and industry best practices.
  • Commercial Analysis and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Assess proposals and requests from commercial areas to ensure route strategies contribute to the airline's growth and positioning.
  • Market Leadership: Monitor global and regional aviation industry trends to implement innovations and competitive strategies in route planning.
  • Itinerary Change Management: Lead medium-impact decisions, such as schedule adjustments, route configurations, and operational days, and negotiate high-impact changes (new routes or station closures) with the immediate supervisor.
  • Internal and External Strategic Relations: Facilitate key negotiations with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the achievement of commercial and operational objectives
